Polypeptide sequences in pdb format are invariably shorter than those in FASTA format. The missing residuesaremostlyinternaloligopeptidestringsandfewC&Nterminalresidues.Wehavecomparedthe panoramaofthesecondarystructuredomainsgeneratedfrombothformatsbyfoldinginsilicoandfindthat themissingoligopeptidesaremostlyfromtheintrinsicallydistorteddomains.
