Abstract

This article analyzes the theory of civil society, its emergence and development trends. Civil society is a social phenomenon that is rapidly developing with such criteria as democracy, human rights, freedom of speech and conscience, free market economy. In this regard, in Uzbekistan, the processes of democratic governance and the formation of a strong civil society are gradually being implemented in recent years. The scientific article presents the results of scientific research on the formation, development and prospects of non-governmental non-profit organizations in the Uzbek society. In particular, the formation of a civil society in the country is divided into four stages, and its specific features are given a scientific analysis. As a result of the article, recommendations and conclusions on the formation of a strong civil society in Uzbekistan are presented.
