Abstract

Cranioencephalic penetrating trauma (CPT) is caused by a sharp or short- pointed object that passes through the bone, dura mater, brain and other structures. Its incidence is unknown and few cases are described; penetrating injuries represent 0.4%, therefore there is no protocolized management.
