Abstract

Lower limb amputation induces extensive structural and functional reorganization of the brain. Motor imagery has been shown to promote motor recovery and phantom-limb pain alleviation in amputees. However, the neural mechanism of motor imagery in lower-limb amputees is unclear. In this study, we aimed to find electrophysiological evidence of abnormalities from event-related (de)synchronization (ERD/ERS) measurements.
