Abstract
Diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) are a common, yet preventable complication of diabetes that can lead to serious health risks if left untreated. DFUs pose a significant challenge on not only the affected individual but also the community due to their complex pathophysiology and limited, often insufficient treatment options.
