Biography

Robert A Knuppel graduated from Georgetown University in Washington DC. He received his MD from Rutgers college of Medicine, New Jersey. He matriculated to Tufts for his residency and Fellowship in OB/GYN & Maternal Fetal Medicine. He received his Masters of Public Health from Harvard University.

He was recruited out of Fellowship to establish the Division of MFM and Obstetrics at University of South Florida (USF) Tampa, Florida. He was Professor of OB/GYN and Public health for 10 years at USF. He was then recruited to become the chair and professor of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Department of OB/GYN. He held that position for 12 years and ran the 12th largest Perinatal Center in the Country which received the ACOG award for Research Excellence.

Subsequently, he has been VP of a hospital and an Assistant/Consultant Dean at Drexel University College of Medicine. He has been recognized by several publications as one of the nation’s top 100 OB/GYNs for over 13 years. He has received over 10 million dollars in grant money. CO-authored over 200 articles, 5 monographs and 3 textbooks. He has earned an MBA from Ellis College of the New York Institute of Technology, and Cofounded Women’s Integrated Network LLC. He was Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Penn Highlands Healthcare. He is currently Adjunct Professor of Health Sciences and Public Health at Florida Gulf Coast University.
