Biography

Tahseen I Al-Saleem attended medical school at the University of Baghdad, Iraq. He was trained in the Central Pathology Institute after graduating and then became the Director of Laboratory of the Shaab Hospital. After 1963 events, he continued private practice until 1965. At the end of 1965, he started training in the United States in pathology and then received a Fellowship in Pediatric Pathology at Temple University. He returned to Iraq in 1970 and joined the University of Baghdad and the Medical City Hospital and later became the Professor of Pathology at the University of Baghdad and President of the Board of Pathology in Iraq. He left Iraq early in 1992 and joined Fox Chase Cancer Center and became the Director of Hematopathology. He published more than 100 papers and abstracts about cancer, especially lymphomas.
