Abstract
The Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is developmental disorders that affect individuals at
different levels - behavioral, linguistic and social–and in different magnitudes (APA, 2013).1
This is a disorder that has been studied a lot in recent times, due to the exponential increase
in cases. However, it continues to leave many in conclusions due to its heterogeneity. In this
article we intend to create an overview of this problem, from its causes to the intervention
that still obtains better scientific results, the ABA behavioral therapy (Applied Behavior
Analysis).
