Psychology, health and happiness: a monographic overview


Abstract

This paper seeks to investigate some fundamental categories found in a relatively recent branch of the psychological discipline, which is known as Health Psychology. The first topic tries to explain the emergence of health psychology, based on two different but complementary positions; the second category seeks to make an apology for health psychology, as a science of good living, aimed at the search for and eventual attainment of happiness.
