Abstract

The fungus, KNUF-20-NI013, belonging to the genus Arcopilus, was isolated from a soil sample in South Korea. Concatenated nucleotide sequences of internal transcribed spacer regions (ITS), incomplete sequences of large subunit rRNA (LSU), and RNA polymerase II subunit genes (RPB2) were used to observe the phylogenetic analysis. The strain was found to be in the same branch as Arcopilus eremanthusum. Additionally, we found that strain KNUF-20-NI013 and closely related species have distinct cultural traits. With accession number NIBRFGC000507890, the fungal strain KNUF-20-NI013 has been deposited at the National Institute of Biological Resources (NIBR).
